General Manager & Business Coach
Marco has worked in marketing for big corporates in London and the Netherlands. He also has first-hand experience when it comes to turning a passion into a business.
Following a move from the UK to Whakatipu in 2016 he set up a successful business - which is still running - that led to a natural opportunity to leverage his corporate experience to also help others do the same
Jinene’s role is to assist our high growth entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners, and those in the innovation/tech space.
Jinene moved to Wanaka in 2018, following a successful 25 years career in the IT and telecom industry in Australia.
It’s a homecoming for her, whose family dates back five generations within the Otago region.
Monette is our Community Manager, supporting and growing the Queenstown Lakes startup ecosystem.
Originally from Melbourne and with a background in media and events, she has extensive experience in creating large-scale events and connecting people. An Olympic Gymnast, Monette embodies discipline and excellence, bringing her passion for sharing her knowledge with the community.
Startup Queenstown Lakes was established to drive innovation in our region, by fostering a startup ecosystem.
Startup Queenstown Lakes is a charitable trust established in 2018 to bring together founders, investors, changemakers, and citizens in an effort to address the need for economic diversity and resilience, via a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem made up of knowledge and innovative sector businesses.
We are a catalyst and champion for the startup, innovation, and technology community. We know that knowledge and innovation sector startups are a critical element to this region to achieve economic diversity, enhance productivity and strengthen the resilience of our communities.
